So I’m really going to do this.

Start a photo blog, that is!

I have been thinking about doing this for many months now but I never got down and actually did anything about it. With all the pictures I take, one would have thought I’d have got around to this a lot sooner. Anyways, I’m going to give this a whirl. Wish me luck!

I will attempt to upload an image with every post (some new, some old) because I think it’s the image that really makes the post worthy!

{photo notes} :: As I’ve started to dig deeper into photography, I’ve begun to appreciate pictures like this a lot more. The candid shots, ones that depict “real” moments — the natural expression. Don’t get me wrong – I still love those big smiles and come christmas photo time, there’s me trying everything under the sun to get my kids to 1) sit still 2) look at the camera and 3) if I’m lucky, smile. But I cherish these images too.

I love how the facial shadows serve to highlight her pensive expression. This expression is as much ‘her’ as her sweet impish grin. I’ll have to hunt down a picture of that and post it soon.
